“Beyond the paradigm shifts proposed in Astrotometry, the discoveries enabled by its vision quickly endowed this infant science with vital Earthly applications.”
Updated June 6th 2013
In 2007, analysis of solar trends using my core weather models indicated that the severity and frequency of potentially disastrous seismic events would be increasing due to a sharp drop in solar activity. This grave concern drove me from various life pursuits and I began forecasting earthquakes using Astrotometry.
As many of my YouTube subscribers know, I have also used Astrotometry to for forecast cyclonic storms and break more new scientific ground in the field of weather pattern modeling. Because of the threat from the abnormally long solar minimum, I neglected the other practical applications of Astrotometry in favor of earthquake forecasting.
“Ready or not, here I come.”
After some success at producing public earthquake watches, my research focused on developing a more accurate forecasting technique. Discovering a better hyper-time mapping model was the goal.
On March 3rd 2011, based on the largest coronal hole of solar cycle 24, I published a forecast for the earthquake that proceeded the meltdowns at Fukushima: Earthquake Watch – AV-2011-03-03
On March 11th tragedy struck. A 9.0 Magnitude earthquake killed more than 15,000 people and leaving Japan permanently scared. When the US Embassy recommended a 50 mile evacuation zone of more than 2 million residents in Fukushima Province, my plans suddenly changed again.
The crisis in Fukushima highlighted an issue even more troubling than increased earthquake activity: the associated nuclear meltdowns. I began efforts to raise awareness of the well-documented dangers of earthquake-triggered nuclear meltdowns and their undocumented consequences. My efforts were met with covert antagonism from vested interests who gagged the press allowing a few controlled opponents and agents to cover the crisis. In my frustration, I was also inspired to write, record, and produce the song “Nuclear Scum!” with an accompanying video.
Rather than advancing after Fukushima, my earthquake forecasting efforts were thwarted by organizations with conflicts of interest in the public understanding the situation. This, and a complex array of other challenges moved me to invest my energy in other aspects in other important work. I discontinued my earthquake forecasts knowing it was being vigilantly continued by a few other conscientious souls, notably, SolarWatcher (thebarcaroller on YouTube).
“Every major seismic event has been foreshadowed by a solar disturbance, so knowing when a quake is not likely provides solace for persons living in quake prone areas!”
While all of the forecasting techniques I’m aware of are too impractical for emergency response, they are useful for persons living in seismically active zones. The populations should be informed about these watches!
As it is still my hope that Astrotometry will eventually offer reliable earthquake warnings, I continue to offer my leads to other trustworthy researchers. One recent indication is that the 25-33 percent “false alarm” rate (in forecasts based on coronal holes) can be eliminated by differentiating the solar shadows of seismic activity from its foreshadows.
Thinking continues on a computer algorithm to better “see” forthcoming earthquakes using telemetry aggregated from various institutional sources. It is likely that computer-based modeling with pattern-matching algorithms will eventually tell us exactly when and where major earthquakes will occur.
Thank you for taking the time to explore Astrotometry. Since my research is independent from corporate, government, and academic conflicts of interest, I depend on the support of goodhearted people.
